Break The Pattern
For when you're worried about your child because of the big emotions, the shutting down, the moments they feel dysregulated, and you just want to give them the tools to actually regulate.
But you don't know where to start...
You know the moment.
Your child is overwhelmed. Crying, screaming, shutting down completely, or swinging between all three. You try to calm them. You explain. You offer solutions. Sometimes you lose your own patience, and then you feel guilty about that too.
Nobody told you this would be the hardest part. Not the logistics of parenting, the emotional intensity of it. The not knowing what they are thinking or feeling. The watching your child struggle and feeling helpless. Wondering if inside they are truly ok.
Most advice tells you what to say. But what if the problem isn't the words you're using?
When a child is dysregulated, flooded with emotion, body in overdrive, they can't access the part of the brain that hears reason. That's biology. And once you understand it, everything changes.

A simple guide to helping your child regulate big emotions. It's a short, practical mini guide built around one idea, that when you understand your child's nervous system, you stop fighting the reaction, and start working with it. It's something all parents should know and it should be taught in schools.
break the patten is...
Monday October 19 the portal opens and you will be given 14 days to complete the 4 day guide. A little extra time just incase you need it. You can do it in your own time.
What's inside...
DAY 1: Regulate your nervous system with me first
DAY 2: What to do during your child's meltdown or shutdown
DAY 3: Rupture & Repair
DAY 4: How to help your child build a larger capacity for difficult feelings over time
Short enough to finish. Practical enough to use this week.

everything you learned late, teach them early

You have a child who experiences big emotions and you don't always know how to respond

You experience big emotions yourself and you need help regulating yourself
-
You've tried the strategies and they don't seem to work, and you're starting to wonder if something's wrong with your child
-
You want to respond from a place of calm and clarity, not panic and guilt
-
You're looking for something grounded in how the body actually works, not just tips to try
This isn't a course about perfect parenting. It's a course about understanding, so you can show up differently in the moments that matter most.
To be clear: this is not a course or not a how-to. It'll be me pulling back the curtain on what I do myself and with my 2 children.
I'm Courtney, a Nervous System Specialist. I work with women, and with parents, to understand the body underneath the behaviour.
I created this guide because I kept seeing the same thing: children struggling, parents trying their hardest, and a piece of the puzzle missing. This is that piece.
I am trained in Breathwork, Meditation and Conscious Energetic Alignment and I have completed a parenting course with Westmead Children's Hospital & Trauma Informed with TAFE NSW.
